Sometimes we have to fall down and get back up again to realize just where our deepest love truly is. This is how Ronnie was reminded that there is no love like the love of Jesus.
“Growing up in a Christian home, my parents were very strict on certain things. There wasn’t a lot of affection in my household, but my parents taught us how to work. I’ve known about the Mission of Jesus Christ since I was about 10 years old. My parents would take us to minster and sing with them on Sunday afternoons. I began drinking when I was about 17 years old. I always held down a job but I have been married 3 times. I think those marriages failed because I didn’t know how to love. Then after my most recent relapse, I reached out to the Modesto Gospel Mission, and they opened their arms in love to me. In my time here I have been able to reestablish my relationship with God. I have joy in life again and I have the privilege of being involved with the Missions Volente coffee. Volente allows me to be involved with the community. I also get to share my testimony with others and the good news of the salvation through Christ, all over a cup of coffee.”
