Annette deBoer and Lisa Ribeiro are excited to share the Mission Birthday Club in partnership with the Modesto Gospel Mission. The Mission Birthday Club aims to bring happiness to every child that lives at the Modesto Gospel Mission each year. This club was inspired by the thought that delivering a birthday wish could make a great difference in the lives of homeless children and their families, bringing them the simple joy of a birthday party. All donations to the Mission Birthday Club “directly support program services, ensuring that 100% of your contribution benefits the children living at the Mission on their Birthday and at the Holidays.”
Birthday parties provide the opportunity for celebration and hope, and the Mission Birthday Club allows us to make each child feel special on their special day by celebrating them on their birthday with a personalized cake, cupcakes and party bags to be shared with all. The birthday child also receives a book and a few extra treats in their birthday bag.
Our goal is to spread the excitement and joy of a birthday party to these children as a way of letting each of them and their parents know they matter. We will also be hosting holiday parties for the children and their parents, which will include a Christmas event where a new and personalized gift will be provided for each child to their parent(s) to personally wrap and give to their child.
